Periodontics
A native of Midland, Michigan, Dr. David Klump received his DDS degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1986. After one year as a general dentist, Dr. Klump began his emphasis in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal disease, including implant dentistry.
Dr. Klump's connection with Minneapolis goes back to his General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center from 1986-1987. He was a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota Dental School from 1986 to 1992 and a clinical instructor in the Normandale Community College Dental Hygiene Program from 1989 to 1991.
Dr. Pihlstrom
Oral Surgery
Dr. Pihlstrom is a 1993 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry following an undergraduate degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Downstate Brooklyn/Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he was the Chief of Service in 1998. After his training in New York, Dr. Pihlstrom practiced on Long Island for two years and returned to Minnesota in 2000.
Dr. Pihlstrom is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His clinical interests are in dentoalveolar and implant surgeries.
