Dr. Geisler grew up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Upon graduation, he attended St. Olaf College for his undergraduate studies and earned a BA in Biology. He subsequently received his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry, Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1996. He then practiced general dentistry for 9 years prior to attending the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he received his certificate in endodontics in 2008.
Dr. Geisler enjoys both clinical and academic pursuits. During his time at San Antonio, Dr. Geisler was a recipient of a grant from the AAE foundation for his research entitled, “Regenerative Endodontics: Growth Factors Control the Phenotype of Human Dental Pulp Stem/Progenitor Cells” and presented the results at the 2008 AAE Annual Session. Dr. Geisler was a co-author of “Regeneration Potential of the Young Permanent Tooth: What Does the Future Hold?” and “Endodontic applications of cone-beam volumetric tomography” both of which were published in Journal of Endodontics. He presented a lecture and workshop on Regenerative Endodontic Procedures (REPs) at the 2009, 2010 and 2011 AAE Annual Sessions. Dr. Geisler is the author of “Clinical Considerations for Regenerative Endodontic Procedures” published in 2012 for Dental Clinics of North America.
Dr. Geisler also serves his profession by being active in organized Endodontics. He currently serves as a member of the Regenerative Endodontics Committee of the AAE and is on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Geisler resides in Edina, MN with his wife Jules and three kids. When he is not treating patients, speaking or writing/editing papers, he enjoys spending time doing family activities.
A native of Midland, Michigan, Dr. David Klump received his DDS degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1986. After one year as a general dentist, Dr. Klump began his emphasis in the non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal disease, including implant dentistry.
Dr. Klump's connection with Minneapolis goes back to his General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center from 1986-1987. He was a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota Dental School from 1986 to 1992 and a clinical instructor in the Normandale Community College Dental Hygiene Program from 1989 to 1991.
Dr. Pihlstrom is a 1993 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry following an undergraduate degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Downstate Brooklyn/Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where he was the Chief of Service in 1998. After his training in New York, Dr. Pihlstrom practiced on Long Island for two years and returned to Minnesota in 2000.
Dr. Pihlstrom is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His clinical interests are in dentoalveolar and implant surgeries.
